CAD-Designer / Robotics Engineer (M/F/D)
Modern robotics begins where precise design meets real-world operating conditions. With advanced sensor technology and intelligent system integration, we develop solutions that perform reliably in demanding environments. We are looking for people who not only understand technology but actively shape it, from initial concept to successful deployment in the field.

Your Role
You are the driving force when it comes to turning ideas into functional prototypes and solutions. With your hands-on approach and expertise in mechatronics, you develop and integrate robotic, mechatronic, and optical systems that enable our customers to use Cubert hyperspectral cameras in entirely new ways. From security and drone applications to industrial processes and medical devices, you create innovative platforms that combine mechanics, electronics, optics, and software. You enjoy building and testing hardware, working iteratively, and collaborating within a team to deliver robust, high-quality solutions.
Your Tasks
- CAD & Prototyping: Design of mechanical components, mounts, and enclosures using CAD tools. Building prototypes using 3D printing (in-house and external), as well as collaborating with external partners (e.g. CNC manufacturers, optical engineers, and suppliers) to realize high-quality components.
- System Development: As part of the development team and in close collaboration with our customers, you design and optimize mechatronic systems – such as security and drone platforms, industrial systems, or medical prototypes.
- System Integration: Combining mechanical, electrical, and optical subsystems into reliable, practical prototypes that meet defined performance requirements.
- Requirements Engineering: Capturing, defining, and managing technical requirements to ensure solutions meet the needs of customers and projects.

Nice to have
- Experience with Fusion 360
- Basic knowledge of optics or imaging systems
- Experience in integrating sensors or cameras into robotic systems
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Solid CAD skills and experience in prototyping
- Completed degree or technical training in mechatronics, robotics, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field
- Strong hands-on mentality: enthusiasm for building, testing, and iterating on prototypes
- Professional experience in robotics, mechatronics, or related fields – at least 2 years preferred, but motivated graduates or career changers with relevant practical experience are also welcome
- Programming experience in Python (e.g. for automation, data processing, or control software)
- Strong problem-solving skills and an independent, structured way of working
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
