Cubert GmbH has been selected as a finalist for the 2026 SPIE Prism Awards – often referred to as the “Photonics Oscars”. The company’s ULTRIS XMR Hyperspectral Camera was nominated in the category “Cameras and Imaging Systems”, recognizing it as one of the most innovative photonics products of the year.
The Prism Awards, organized by SPIE – The International Society for Optics and Photonics, honor companies that bring groundbreaking optical and photonic technologies to market. Out of more than 20 global entries, Cubert was selected as one of three finalists in its category, alongside HP Inc. and Metalenz.
The winners will be announced during a gala ceremony at SPIE Photonics West in San Francisco on January 21, 2026. Even being nominated is a remarkable achievement and brings significant international visibility.
“Being nominated alone is a tremendous honor and a testament to the global recognition of our technology.”
Dr. Matthias Locherer, Director Global Market Development at Cubert.

With its ULTRIS XMR, Cubert is redefining hyperspectral imaging by combining ultra-high resolution, precision, and real-time capabilities.
